Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential from University
of California Santa Barbara. She taught English and
American history for the Santa Barbara School District for
many years and retired from teaching in 2004. When she

the tennis courts, hiking trails, or out on a kayak marveling
at the dolphins. She and her husband, former Dos Pueblos
volleyball coach Mike Beresford, are avid campers and
travelers.
Kelly Mahan

since 2008. She moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB

found her niche in journalism interning with a local TV station
covering local interest stories including the Santa Barbara
International Film Festival and major wildfires. Kelly has also
worked several red carpet events including the Golden
Globes, American Music Awards, and Academy of Country
Music Awards. In the mornings, she can be found pursuing

of finding extra-terrestrial life throughout the solar system.

James Buckley

coast.

roads of Santa Barbara’s wine country.
