they often scout online, in the garment district of L.A., in vintage stores,
or wherever their travels take them. They buy in small lots so that each
bikini is slightly different and few suits look the same.
“The Funkier The Better”
Important to the mission statement of Acqua Sabbia is the credo that,
“our bikinis are truly one of a kind and you won’t have to worry about
seeing someone else wearing your suit.” Finding unusual fabrics is their
favorite part of manufacturing. “The funkier the better and more popular,”
says Mollie. Stripes, polka dots, paisley and damask fabrics are among
