Lisa Weintraub
& Joseph Taylor
isa Weintraub and Joseph Taylor were married in an
intimate ceremony at Montecito’s San Ysidro Ranch on July
28, 2012. The couple, who met in their dormitory at UC
Santa Barbara, dated nearly ten years before tying the knot in a summer
ceremony.
The couple, who moved to northern California after attending
college, took a weekend jaunt to Santa Barbara in 2008, where Joseph
popped the question after a romantic dinner. They chose San Ysidro
Ranch for its classic, rustic feel and lush gardens.
The couple planned a “French Country” style wedding, marrying
on the lawn near the Ranch’s iconic lavender fields. Vintage bottles
and vases filled with garden roses hung from the trees, while the
bride carried a bouquet of peach, pink and blush colored flowers,
tied with ivory lace. A classical string trio played a mix of classical
tunes, Disney music, and popular hits. The newly married couple
requested the Beatles’ favorite, “In My Life,” as their theme song.
The two-dozen guests watched as the couple’s Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel, Belle, escorted Lisa’s Maid of Honor, Marissa, down the
aisle, while Joe’s Best Man was his twin brother, Daniel.
Guests noshed on a carefully chosen menu which included fresh
burrata cheese, parmesan crusted halibut, and pan seared filet. Lemon
wedding cake, layered with lemon curd, was served as guests enjoyed
the Ranch’s sunset views.
Lisa and Joseph will honeymoon to Europe in April, to see Paris
in the spring.
