right is no doubt the one she
referred to in her autobiography:
“Years before
la Dame Mode
discovered silver fox... I had in my
possession a beautiful evening
cape of this fur that touched the
ground. I remember that I shocked
Molyneux by insisting that the skins
be as white as could be found.
White skins were not considered
fashionable then.”
