Granatelli, Gloria and Glen Holden, Anne and Mike Towbes, Tanya
and Alan Thicke and John and Daryl Stegall. Friends came from
around the world to witness the union, including Prince Pierre and
Princess Sylvia d’Arenberg from Switzerland, Maggie and Ian Joye
from Australia, and others from St. Tropez, Miami and New York.
Geoff Palmer, a polo-playing pal of the groom, made a grand
entrance just before the wedding rehearsal, flying in by helicopter
and landing on the Nesbitt property. His wife, Anne, was the maid
of honor; son Grant was the ring bearer. American Idol’s Ann Marie
Boskovich serenaded the bride as she walked down the aisle.
After the outside ceremony, the reception was held at the
estate’s 25,000 sq. ft. home, where guests dined on lobster
salad, duck consommé and filet of beef, followed by local baker
Christine Dahl’s chocolate mousse and vanilla wedding cake.
White and blush-colored flowers, designed by Montecito’s S.R.
Hogue, adorned the tables. After dinner, the guests were escorted
to the mega-manse’s lower level, decorated in Moroccan style
with belly dancers who performed, along with a dance band,
as slide shows of the couple’s friends and family flashed across
the walls throughout the evening. Kathy Hilton, a close friend of
Ursula, showed off her vocal talents. As a surprise to their family and
friends, the newlyweds changed their outfits and performed the tango.
Wedding attendees were each given a silver photo frame with a picture
of themselves with the bride and groom. The following day, friends
were invited to the couple’s barn for a barbecue to reminisce about the
previous night’s festivities, while noshing on brunch prepared by chef
Michael Hutchings.
