a private “lovers’ picnic” and photo shoot at the Music Academy of the
West. A nighttime reception was held at the Santa Barbara Historical
Museum; a Mediterranean feast of antipasto, artichokes, olives, breads and
cheese was served to the 120 guests, all sitting at one large table. The table
was adorned with bowls filled with succulents and baby artichokes; rustic
wood signs were placed along the table, with Italian descriptive words
written in chalk.
The couple, who honeymooned in Maui, have settled in Santa Barbara,
where they plan to live, practice, and someday raise a family.

Pamela and Christopher
Haskell
It was a romance born in Montecito, with a first date at Lucky’s
followed by drinks at the Biltmore. A short courtship later, Pamela
Dillman and Christopher Haskell exchanged vows on the terrace of the
Valley Club, with golf balls resounding on the green below.
The bride is the daughter of actor Bradford Dillman, and step-daughter
of the late Suzy Parker. She and her children attended local schools; her
daughter Francesca (Frankie) and twin sons Will and Ford are fourth-
generation Montecitans. Bradford’s mother, Josephine Moore Dillman,
came to Santa Barbara in the 1930s, in time becoming Ladies’ Champion
at the Valley Club. Bradford began his acting career treading the boards of
the Lobero Theatre, and later, Pamela did the same. Her daughter Frankie
now performs there with local dance and theater groups. Christopher
became local in the ‘80s; his children Alexandrea and Christophe were
raised here. He attended Hotchkiss in New York, the same boarding
school Pamela’s father attended 30 years earlier, and Middlebury, before
Law School at Northwestern and Lewis and Clark.
The bride, dressed in a Jim Hjelm gown, and her groom were married
by the Rev. Jeffrey Bullock of All Saints by-the-Sea and Calvary Chapel
Pastor Charles Cole. Instead of a traditional cake, three layers of Bella
Dolce cupcakes were served to the 130 guests, which included longtime
Montecito friends Palmer and Joanie Jackson, Alice Vanderwater, Jano
Stack and sister Chrissy Waterman, Shaun and Carla Tomson, Gary and
Susan Miles Gulbransen and Bob and Nancyann Failing.
The couple, who honeymooned in Normandy, France, invited their
five children to form the bridal party, signifying a joining of the two
families.
