etenay Osman, co-owner of
Daniel Gibbings Jewelry, says the
idea behind the “Remarkable Line”
collection is that “every piece is worthy of a
remark.” But Setenay also explains that Gibbings’
biggest inspiration for each piece was “opulence;” first
he imagines a beautiful piece of jewelry. “Who will wear such a
beautiful thing?” These three pieces demonstrate Gibbings’ attempt to apply
royal history and style of the English and Ottoman Empire to modern
sophistication (Daniel is of British descent, and Setenay is of Turkish).

yellow gold. Gibbings’ signature technique is
the scalloped look on the gold, accomplished
by hammering and chiseling at the gold.
Diamonds accent the morganite.
The Paraiba tourmaline ring (2) shows one
of the most rare of the tourmaline stones from
Brazil. Signature texture on the 20k yellow gold
base and ruby accents add to its shine. Notice the crown
surrounding the center stone.
3) The zultanite earrings introduce a brand new natural
untreated stone from Turkey. Zultanite is the first Turkish color-
changing gem, reacting to candlelight, sunlight, and artificial light.
Rubies emphasize the center stone.
