bride finished her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Washington.
After the Catholic ceremony, the beach-themed wedding culminated at the
hilltop at Santa Barbara Zoo, where 120
guests fed the giraffes, snapped photos in
a photo booth, and noshed on a buffet
dinner provided by Rincon Catering.
The bridesmaids, dressed in peach and
sage chiffon dresses, and the groomsmen,
in tan suits, were driven to the reception
on the Santa Barbara Trolley, with a
stop at Manning Park in Montecito for
formal photos.
Wedding guests, and the bride and
groom, danced the night away as the sun set. The couple danced their first dance
as husband and wife to The Fray’s “Look After You.” For dessert, a Christine Dahl-
designed cake, topped with starfish, sand dollars, and bright flowers, was served;
guests were also treated to a candy station to take home sweets for later.
The couple, who reside in Santa Barbara, honeymooned in Moorea and Bora
Bora, where they swam with dolphins, parasailed and went on a safari. The bride,
an avid surfer, bought Allan a surfboard as a wedding present, and now spends
her free time teaching him how to ride the waves.
